The Dundas West Museum acknowledges its location in the  “Dish With One Spoon” Haudenosaunee Confederacy territory, which is known today as the city of Toronto. The neighbourhood holds witness to the passing of many cultures, many that have chosen the Dundas West Area their home.

Waves of immigrants, refugees, and some artists too, have shaped the urban landscape, nourishing the feel of the community, its local business, studios and cultural references such as the Portuguese Heritage omni present in the galleries of the museum, the public streets of Dundas West.

Little Portugal (also known as Portugal Village (Portuguese: Pequeno Portugal / aldeia Portugal) is a neighbourhood and ethnic enclave in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It is located west of downtown in the “Old” City of Toronto.

It is bound on the west by Lansdowne Avenue, on the north by College Street, on the east by Bathurst Street and on the south by the Go Transit and Union Pearson Express railway tracks. The area is mainly residential, with Portuguese businesses along Dundas Street West and College Street.

We invite you to explore, learn and enjoy our public circuit of Street Art Murals.
